Lozenge

Finally finished, a pair of Gentleman's socks with Lozenge Pattern.

Used yarn: Regia, the blue yarn I got in the Vintage Sock Swap.

Het sneeuwt... alweer. Echt zo'n dag om binnen te blijven. Dan... verrassing! Postbode aan de deur met een pakketje voor mij! Natuurlijk meteen aan de slag gegaan om te neuzen wat er in zat, kan ook moeilijk anders met D. die dan weer erg nieuwsgierig is. Het begin was al veelbelovend: Een lief kaartje erbij van mijn geheime swapmaatje die schreef al vaker iets voor me samen te hebben gesteld en dat het niet mee was gevallen weer iets nieuws te verzinnen... Iets dat ik heel goed begrijp. Vervolgens zijn we gaan uitpakken, altijd handig met een paar extra handen erbij. En dit is het resultaat: Mooi!!! Hier de foto's van dichtbij om een en ander te verduidelijken. Een zeer persoonlijke rolcentimeter (is dit wel een Nederlands woord?), prachtig paars en voorzien van naam. Yarn contest

Every once in a while I enter my name in a yarn contest at someones blog. Not that I ever did win something :-). But I like the idea and that is why I decided to do a small contest on this blog. Rules are simple, you have only to enter your name and tell me your favourite colourway on my Rainbow blog. That will help me to determine what colourway(s) I should dye more often. What you could win is Riverside , a skein of 75% Blue Faced Leicester/ 25% nylon sock yarn. Superwash treated, hard wearing and non felting. The yarn has a greatly soft feel and is hand painted. The skein is approximately 100 grams (3.5 oz) and 350 meter (383 yard). Fingering weight, recommended needle size is 2.5 mm. With the skein a set of 4 stitch markers, hand crafted by Dory and me. I will close the contest by next Monday, 15-10-2007 at 9 pm (UK time). The name of the winner will be randomly selected by my 3 year old daughter, who cannot read.
