Spring Parcel for Dory

Image
Thursday evening a parcel arrived. A Pay it Forward gift from Marjon . She put the most gorgeous things together, almost all for Dory. Pretty much in pink, one of Dory's favourite colours. Something to wear and some clothing for Babyborn, who was also very pleased with it. I totally adore these tiny Babyborn slippers, they are too cute! I must admit I was shocked when I saw the calendar at first - how much I love everything knitting related, my knowledge of German is not very well. But all the patterns are in Dutch and that is a language I do understand :-). Lieve Marjon, heel hartelijk bedankt voor dit prachtige pakket!! We zijn er erg blij mee.

Another PIF package received!

This afternoon I got another PIF package. This one came from Christien . She has really spoiled me, made me the most nice pressies. All gifts were put in this bag, isn't that a neat cable? These little bags always come in handy as I've so many projects at the same time on the needles. My little princess (today she was princess instead of sheep) could hardly wait to unwrap everything. Actually, she did not wait at all. She immidiately decided the stickers were hers. Close up of the lovely hand dyed wool And the cute stitch markers... Christien must have known I collect them! Almost everything but the stickers (they were already in use. Attached to the buggy, in the castle and to the swing-go). The green item on the photo is a very gorgeous hand knit hairband. I really can use that! Thanks so much, Christien!

Incoming and outgoing parcels

Yesterday a beautiful PIF parcel of Darcy arrived. As I should actually pay her, there was absolutely no need to do this, but she chose me as one of her spoilees. And look what we got! Yes, it is 'we' again, because Dory confiscated immediately a few of these items. A Christmas table cloth, a Christmas handbag... Christmas ornaments, immediately hung in the tree ;-) Coffee, yummy... Little Britches, so very cute! I bought the balls of cotton myself, they were also in the package. The colours are very pretty! The rabbit in the snow is Dory's favourite. This is the outgoing parcel, tomorrow it will be send to a very sweet lady.

PIF package received!

The magic ball was not the only parcel I received Saturday, a few hours later a pink parcel came in. Yes, lovely colour :-). That was kind of a surprise, I did not expect a PIF package this early. Wanna know what was in the package? Well, some very pretty things. Maybe I better should not publish the pictures here, as I don't want to make you envious... Isn't this lovely? I saw the counter bracelet on Lies' blog and was immediately in love with it. Now I have my very own (when D. does not have it... we are still struggling who likes the bracelet the most). The whole lot. Also a beautiful needle case for my dpn's. Before Sunday they were all somewhere hiding in the house, now most of them are in this case. Funny coincidence is that I have another needle case since Sunday, but I'll blog about that one later... has something to do with the magic ball... Oh, there was another surprise. This one for Dory. A lovely flowery bag and a magic drawing set. She loves it! Dear ...

6 recruits!

Yes! Thanks to Olga I have six PIF participants! Thanks a lot to all of you. Now I can start thinking about your gifts :)

One more recruit please!

Come on, who is in for the challenge? I need only one person more participate in the PIF. Are you the one? Read more about it in this post.

Paying it forward!

I read about this on some blogs and was always to late to subscribe, but finally I got in through Nic's and Judith's blog. Well, actually I missed the fun at Judith's blog too, but she was so generous to count me in. Since I am doing this through two blogs, I am looking for six recruits instead of three. And what is the meaning of this all? It's based of the concept of the movie " Pay it Forward " where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. Here's how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 6 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won't be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent in the first half of 2008 and that's a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by ma...
