Yes! Thanks to Olga I have six PIF participants! Thanks a lot to all of you. Now I can start thinking about your gifts :)

I started the hat, top-down, this Sunday. On Monday I took my knitting to my friend Ailsa . It is wonderful to have a knitting friend living so near. Dory and I did have a lovely time, she enjoyed playing with the cat and was allowed to use a punch. Ailsa makes gorgeous cards and some of you are going to receive one of them in December :). Monday evening I cast he mittens on. Tip down. Tuesday we had to go to the infirmary for Dory's eye test, which she failed. Nothing to worry about yet, we have to come back in 3 months. Since we were in Northwich anyway, we went to the town to do some shopping. D. choose to have coffee at Bratts, because of the Fairy Lunchboxes. While she was eating her egg-mayo sandwiches in order to have the crisps, I did have time enough for some knitting (and a second cuppa coffee). When we got home I found a RM card, saying they could not deliver a package. That could be my magic ball! And now I have to wait for the re-delivery at Saturday to know for sure. ...

This week is a special one. Packages keep coming in. Today we received a parcel from Josee, my upstream partner in the swap of the Dutch soaker knitting group I posted earlier about. Oh my, oh my, we are spoiled rotten again! She is convinced it must be her birthday! What! You want to take a photo first? Well, hurry up then, the dollies need to get dressed! Show off. Aren't they pretty? I think they are. Josee, thanks so much!

Today a wonderful parcel was delivered! My Ravelry Caffeine Addicts swap partner sent me a box full of the most fabulous goodies! Thank you so much, Riggwelter , I enjoy everything in it. First there was this beautiful card. And a lot more! The mug is fabulous, pink with dots and large, one that can hold a good cup of coffee! The coffee is Percol, the yarn 2 skeins of Rowan Holiday and 2 skeins of a pink ribbon yarn. More treats: a bar of dark chocolate and a few sheepy postcards. For the kids little mrs Giggles and lots of stickers. Needless to say Dory was having a lot of sticker fun!

I read about this on some blogs and was always to late to subscribe, but finally I got in through Nic's and Judith's blog. Well, actually I missed the fun at Judith's blog too, but she was so generous to count me in. Since I am doing this through two blogs, I am looking for six recruits instead of three. Remember this post? I was the lucky winning visitor on Babylonglegs . Today the goodiness came in... and boy, how spoiled we are. Oh yes, WE! Dory was not forgotten. Did I ever mention she adores sheep? So much she pretends to be a sheep a great part of the day! Well, she got a notebook, a ruler and a pen with images of sheep. She took the ruler and book even with her to sleep, I did not allow her to take the pen as well ;). And there was more. A lovely letter from Sarah and a beautiful drawing from Sarah's son. A hand made drop spindle, perfect for beginners like me, and some BFL fiber to spin. Also DK pure wool in variegated greens. You have to know how I love these kind of longies and I am plotting to knit Dory a pair like them, because they are so legging like. This DK is perfect to knit them. Will keep you informed about any progress on these leggings to be. And then... handspun Corriedale. I love the feeling of it! Sarah, you are the best! xx

I love to do them! And currently I'm participating in more than one. Through the Caffeine Addicts group at Ravelry I joined the Caffeine Swap. So I put some Whittard coffee of the month, Chai tea, a travel mug, a few goodies and yarn in a box and sent it out. Unfortunately I forgot to take the picture and my swap partner does not have a blog, so there is nothing to show. But she has already knitted a nice hat with the Araucania Pomaire. And then we have the Magic Ball swap, officially between residents of the Benelux. So I sneaked in I guess :). I have wound a ball for her . No secret anymore, as I am the only 'Briton' there it was not hard to figure out who was the sender of the British package. Just finished my project in the swap of the Dutch soaker knitting group . What makes a pair of socks special? Nice fit, soft and warm, beautiful and hand knit by someone else. Have been to, heard her speaking and being touched by the Yarn Harlot is absolutely a must ;). Here they are, hand knit in Cherry Tree Hill Super Glitz by my dearest friend Darcy . And also in the package these 2 balls of gorgeous BFL/nylon sock wool, brilliantly dyed be her and Laurie .
