A nice and warm afternoon, temperature about 21 degrees, outstanding weather for a walk. On our way to Marshall Arms. Access to the forest. This is a walk Doortje loves very much. An impression. The wood is full of bluebells, buttercups and more flowers. Walking along the Weaver. And back home again.

About 22 months ago Doortje got her her first pair of shoes. Recently we had to buy her fifth pair. In not two years grown from size 3.5 to size 7. I still have her first pair. Those shoes are so small and cute, it is almost unbelievable she did fit them at sometime... Her new shoes are pink, she picked them by herself. Not really surprising ;).

It is complete! I did not run out of yarn, after the very last edge part there was still 2 meter left and I didn't take in anywhere :). This is a neck down shawl. The knitted lace edging is in effect the bind off for this shawl. A window picture to show the eyelet detail more clear.

Apart from the usual longies ;). This is BFL 100% wool, meant to use for a pair of socks. As the socks I made earlier with 100 % wool (different quality of BFL) are wear out already, I was anxious this would happen again with this wool. So I decided to use the wool for a scarf. I never knit scarves, because in my experience it is a bit boring.... But I saw the pattern of a Lacy Winged scarf on a page of a knitting calendar and chose to try it. It is almost finished, though there is a full possibility I will run out of yarn before the lacy edging is completed. So... fingers crossed!
